This Historic Properties section presents prototype typical layouts for nine common VA building use/reuse types. It also holds three Best Practices case studies, depicting successful VA adaptive reuse projects. The prototypes and case studies augment the VA’s Historic Properties Assessment Tool, developed in 2017 for internal use by VA facility planners and chief engineers.
