Summary
The major change from the previous interim guidance in references b and c is that Machine-Room-Less elevators are now allowed to be used as outlined in UFC 3-490-06, Elevators. UFC 3-490-06 applies to all planning, design and construction, modernization, repair, maintenance and operation, and equipment installation in new and existing buildings, regardless of funding source. References b and c are no longer applicable.
