Shawn is Director of Origination with the U.S. Army Office of Energy Initiatives where he leads the development of new energy project concepts in partnership with industry to support Army installation energy resilience. Previously, Shawn served as Director for Clean Energy at the White House Council on Environmental Quality where he led U.S. government efforts to power Federal facilities with clean energy. Earlier in his career, he served as Innovation Chief with the U.S. Air Force Office of Energy Assurance, held various positions including Commissioner Advisor at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, and served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Nepal. Shawn holds a Master of Arts in International Relations and Economics from the Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science summa cum laude in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
