Mr. Anderson is a Senior Subject Matter Expert specializing in Microgrids and Energy Resilience, driving strategic initiatives to enhance the Department of the Navy’s (DON) energy security. He has extensive experience in renewable energy (RE) microgrids, energy resilience, and defense critical infrastructure (DCI). He developed the first renewable energy microgrid resilience assessment framework for islanded sites to generate the resilience and costs trade space. Bill founded the Navy’s only Microgrid Test Bed and Microgrid Academy. Bill is a former management consultant with McKinsey & Company and a retired career U.S. Naval Civil Engineer Corps Officer, having led SEABEEs supporting Special Forces (SEALs). Bill is a licensed PE, CEM, and LEED AP BD+C. He earned his PhD (SE) from NPS, M.S. (Green Technologies) from USC, MBA from CGU, M.S. (CE) from UC Berkeley, and B.S. (ME) from VMI.
