After 25 years in the private plumbing and HVAC construction industry, Mr. Ross joined the US Army Reserve Energy Program in 2012, providing energy management support for over 200 facilities in 13 states. At the 99th RD, he helped implement a 21-year, $57M Energy Savings Performance Contract across 90 facilities in 10 states, reviewed 500+ monthly energy bills, developed remote monitoring of Smart Metering/DDC systems, and coordinated $8.7M in lighting upgrades across 50 facilities. Since 2017, Mr. Ross has supported USAG Fort Hunter Liggett’s Energy Program and their ongoing goals of achieving Mission Resilience, and Energy Assurance. Some of the efforts Mr. Ross has supported include the Installation Energy and Water Plan, the Integrated Installation Control Center, implementation of Geothermal Heat Pump HVAC and DHW for FHL Housing, coordinating management of Distributed Energy Assets, and Microgrid planning and construction at both FHL and PRFTA.
