This command can be executed from the SI Editor's Tools menu.

Opens the Options window, from which you can adjust various settings that affect the Editor.

Main Settings

Use Reference Wizard When Inserting Reference Tags

Check this option if you would like to select both information and corresponding REF, RID, RTL, and ORG tags from the Reference Wizard instead of inserting only tags.  If this box is checked, the Reference Wizard will display any time you click the button for one of these tags on the Tagsbar or select them from the Insert > Tags command. Reference sources will be your connected Masters.

Enable Reference Checking Using Master Reference List Below

Using this checkbox will allow mouse-over descriptions for RIDs to be first checked against the Master Reference list that you choose. If this option is not enabled, it will only check against the Reference ArticleAn Article within Part 1 that contains a list of the Publishing Organizations and the titles of all technical references used in the section text of the Section, and display a Not Found message if it is missing.

Use Reference List of SI Primary Master

This selection indicates which Master is designated as your Primary for the active Job or local Master, and selecting this option will use it for identifying RIDs.

Use This Reference List

By default, the SI Editor will use the Unified Master Reference List (UMRL)A list of all referenced standards cited in the Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS) Master. It is used to generate Reference Articles when performing Master text processing functions. The UMRL is also used by the SI Explorers Reference Wizard and Reference Checking features.  You can use any of the Master reference lists indicated by selecting it. The selections are based on the Masters you have connected using the SI Explorer menu Setup > Connect Masters. The list will also contain your Supplemental Reference List.

Unified Master Reference and Submittal Lists

The option to Check for the Unified Master Reference List (UMRL)A list of all referenced standards cited in the Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS) Master. It is used to generate Reference Articles when performing Master text processing functions. The UMRL is also used by the SI Explorers Reference Wizard and Reference Checking features or Unified Master Submittal List (UMSL) A list of all referenced submittals cited in the Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS) Master. It is used to generate Submittal Articles when performing Master text processing functions. The UMSL is also used by the SI Explorers Submittal Wizard and Submittal Checking featuresupdates automatically is selected by default. If you do not want the SI Editor to check for updates remove the checkmark.
