Since 2013, several Federal agencies and subnational governments have begun the journey to educate and train their workforce. From dedicated training programs for professionals who have a significant portfolio of climate change responsibilities, to leadership development programs and primers for a broader range of personnel. This training session will feature leaders who have overseen a range of climate change education, training, and leadership development programs administered in government agencies.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this session attendees will:
- Recognize the distinctions between climate change literacy, climate change related competencies, climate change leadership and climate change policy awareness;
- Identify tactics for building agency-wide climate change capacity and a culture of accountability and action;
- Identify lessons learned from early implementation efforts in Federal and subnational government agencies; and
- Identify resources for supporting Federal agency efforts to educate and train on climate change.
