This command can be executed from the SI Explorer's Sections menu or Right-click menu.

 

Provides information about the selected SectionA set of files within the Division of a Master or Job that covers specific aspects of construction and the JobA specific facility construction project that consists of a group of guide specifications (Section (.sec) files) that are adapted to the project or MasterA group of standard Government agency (Master) Guide Specifications used in the preparation of a Job that contains it.  While most of the information is view only and cannot be changed, you can edit the Section's Title and Scope, or switch to a different Section by choosing one from the drop-down list.

Job or Master Information

Displays the Job or Master Name, Title, and Date Created associated with the selected Section. The Name identifies your JobA specific facility construction project that consists of a group of guide specifications (Section (.sec) files) that are adapted to the project or MasterA group of standard Government agency (Master) Guide Specifications used in the preparation of a Job in both the SpecsIntact Explorer and Windows File ExplorerThe File Explorer, previously known as Windows Explorer Is Microsoft Windows 10 file manager application that is included in the operating system. It provides a graphical interface and allows users to manage files, folders, network connections and folder options, as well as search for files and related components and is printed at the top right corner of each page.

Section Information

Section

The current Section number is displayed but you can easily switch to a different Section by choosing its number from the drop-down list.

Dates

The Section Date indicates when the Section was created or the date the Section underwent major maintenance. The File Date indicates when the Section was last modified.

Specifier

Provides the option to assign a Specifier to each Section individually by typing the Specifier name or selecting one from the list. The Section Specifier has priority over Division Specifiers if one was assigned through the Job Properties > Specifiers tab. The Section Specifiers can be viewed in the Explorer's main window through View > Columns.

Title and Scope

The current Title and Section ScopeThe Scope is a brief description of the Section requirements and is located in the Section's general note and can be printed with the Master, Project, or Section Table of Contents for the selected Section can be edited in the text box.

Path

Displays the location of the Section on your system.

Source

The displayed Source name indicates the Job or Master from which the Section was copied.

Preparing Activity

The Preparing Activity indicates the Agency responsible for the maintenance of the selected Guide Specification.

Rename

Opens the Sections menu > Rename window so you can change the number of the selected Section.

Submit CCR

Opens the Whole Building Design Guides (WBDG) Website's UFGS Management System page for the selected Section so you can submit a Criteria Change Request (CCR).  The UFGS Management System is designed to submit questions, comments, suggestions and recommendations for the technical proponent to review along with the proper personnel for the selected UFGS Section.  SpecsIntact offers multiple ways to submit a CCR through the Sections menu, Tools menu and Right-click menu.
