This command can be executed from the SI Editor's Navigator's Right-click menu.

The Move command provides greater flexibility and control for rearranging Subparts within the Section. When moving Subparts, the selected Subpart will be deleted from its current position and moved to the location where the mouse button is released.

Text to be added is identified with underscoring and the addition tags, <ADD> and </ADD>. Whereas text to be deleted, or Redlined, is identified with overstriking and the delete tags, <DEL> and </DEL> if the project is configured to use them. When moved to another location, the selected Subpart will be deleted from its current position and added to the new location.  For the deleted Subpart, the Navigator's icon transforms to redIllustration SI Editor's Navigator Redlined ARTICLE Icon and  '(DELETED)' is appended to the end of the Subpart's Title. In contrast, the moved Subpart's icon transforms to green. While editing within the Navigator, the SI Editor's Undo and Redo commands can be used.

Move Options

The Navigator offers two distinct drag-and-drop methods for moving Subparts within the Section:

  1. Left-Click Drag-and-Drop: This is the standard method for moving Subparts, executed by clicking and dragging the selected Subpart to the desired location. Upon release, a confirmation window appears stating that the Subpart has been moved.
  2. Right-Click Drag-and-Drop: This method provides more precise options than the standard Move command. Execute this option by right-clicking and dragging the selected item to the desired location. Upon release, the right-click pop-up menu opens allowing you to either move the selected Subpart before, into, or after another Subpart.
