The Unified Submittal Descriptions provide the essential standardized terminology and criteria for all project Submittals. Adopted by all agencies, this unified approach is critical for maintaining consistent technical content within specifications, facilitating accurate reviews, and ensuring overall project compliance.

Backward compatibility

SpecsIntact differentiates between legacy and current Submittal Descriptions (SD), preventing the mixing of differing formats within a Job. Sections with current Submittal Descriptions are identified by an MTA tag within the Section Header. The software will continue to support Jobs and Masters, containing legacy Submittals. To make an older Section compliant with current Submittal Descriptions in a Job or local Master, use the SI Editor to change the SD numbers, update the Submittal Article format, and add the MTA tag.
