SI Explorer Sections Menu - Remove English/Metric Units 

This command can also be executed from the SpecsIntact Explorer's File menu.

The Remove English/Metric Units command provides the option to eliminate all English (ENG) tags or Metric (MET) tags along with their content from the selected Sections. Keep in mind, the unit of measure actively used in your Sections, set during the creation of a Job or Master, cannot be removed. The units of measure are controlled by the Properties > Options tab. By default, Jobs are set to use English units. Therefore, when you use this feature, the software will automatically remove the inactive metric units. 

While you have the option to remove all English or all metric units from a Master or its Sections, we recommend using this feature with caution since Masters are designed to include both unit types by default.

Before making significant changes to a Job or Master, it's always recommended to create a backup first. You can do this easily by going to the File menu > Backup and Restore.

Standard Windows Commands

The OK button will execute and save the selections made.

The Cancel button will close the window without recording any selections or changes entered.

The Help button will open the Help Topic for this window.

How To Use This Feature

to Remove English/Metric Units from One Or More Sections:

1. In the SpecsIntact Explorer, select a Job or Master
2. In the Contents panel, perform one of the following:
   1. Select a Section
   2. Press-and-hold the Shift key to select multiple consecutive Sections
   3. Press-and-hold the Ctrl key to select multiple non-consecutive Sections
3. Once the Section(s) are highlighted, select the Sections menu, then select Remove English/Metric Units
4. On the Back Up Project window, select one of the available options
5. On the Confirm Selections for Removing Units of Measure window, below Units of Measure to Remove, select either English [ENG] or Metric [MET]
6. Click OK
7. When the No English Units or Metric Units Removed window or English Units or Metric Units Removed window appears, click OK
