The Quality Assurance reports should be run periodically while editing and again when you've finished a Job. These reports are essential for preparing your project for submission, as they automatically identify and locate editing errors, check for completeness and consistency, and verify construction management requirements.
These reports can be accessed from the SpecsIntact Explorer's File menu > Process and Print/Publish > Reports tab. After processing, the reports are found in the SpecsIntact Explorer's Available Projects panel under the Processed Files folder, with a .RPT file extension.

Key Points For Producing Accurate Reports
- Verify the Job contains the 01 33 00 Submittal Procedure and 01 42 00 Sources for Reference Publications Sections.
- Process 'All Sections,' not just some Sections, even if you have not yet edited all of them (you can ignore errors reported for the Sections not edited).
- Ensure all three of the reconciliation processes (Address, References, and Submittals) are selected.
Tips For Resolving Report Issues
- Always check first to see if the problem is the result of a typographical error.
- Display the Marks to check for spacing -- each space will be represented by one dot on the screen. To view Marks, perform one of the following:
- Select the SI Editor's View menu and select Marks
- Click the Marks button on the Toolbar
- Use the keyboard shortcut Alt+X
- Double-click any Section Number in a report to open it in the SI Editor, landing you at the problematic Subpart. Remember to display tags before editing for accuracy, as they are initially hidden when hyperlinking.
