The Windows Installer MSI installation is intended primarily for IT Administrators.
IT administrators can leverage the MSI installer to automate software deployments. Perform silent installations or pre-configure settings for multiple systems on your network, eliminating the need for manual installations on each system. This is a convenient way to streamline the installation process of a desktop application.
A third-party Software Deployment Tool such as Microsoft’s “Windows Installer Service" will define the parameters that instruct the installer how to run (e.g., where to install the program, if a shortcut is placed on the desktop, etc.). IT Administrators must have the expertise that is required to use these tools, to integrate with SpecsIntact’s MSI Installation package!
Silent installations require no user interaction and it is a convenient way to streamline the installation process of a desktop application on several systems at once.

Rules
- Avoid mixing the MSI and Traditional Local installations on the same computer -- If you wish to switch from the MSI to the Traditional Local Installation or vice versa, uninstall the current version first, and then reinstall the alternative version.
- Retaining two SpecsIntact versions side-by-side -- You can retain different versions on your system along with the current version as long as you don’t change the default folder during the installation process.
