SpecsIntact is always available for download from the SpecsIntact website. Before beginning the installation, check to make sure your computer system meets Microsoft Windows hardware and software requirements and visit our Support & Help Center for access to all the SI User Tools including the eLearning page for video instruction and the printable Installation and QuickStart Guides.
Installation Options
SpecsIntact is comprised of two major sets of folders: Software and Working Directories.
- The Software Directory stores the program's essential files and resources needed for its functionality.
- The Working Directories can be setup on a local drive, network server, or a combination of the two. When installed on an individual computer, the Software and Working Directories will be stored on your local drive.
If you are connected to a local network, the considerations below will dictate which installation would be the best choice.
Considerations for Installation
Available Disk Space
- The Software Directory requires at least 30 MB of space for SpecsIntact to operate (for local installation).
- Space for Working Directories will depend entirely upon the number of Working Directories and size of the Jobs and Master being stored. Although multiple Working Directories are possible, one must be designated as the default.
The preferred option would be to Install the software on the local drive and setup the Working Directories on the network server or use the default settings by installing the software and Working Directory on the local drive.
