SI Explorer File Menu - Execute Revisions

This command can also be executed from the SpecsIntact Explorer's Right-click menu.

The Execute Revisions command is a crucial step to finalize all tracked changes within your project. When executed, the system will permanently incorporate text marked for addition by <ADD> tagsSpecsIntact relies on tags to control content, and formatting, automate processes, and generate reports. These special markers, like <SEC> and </SEC>, define elements and attributes within the specifications. Some tags, like <Page />, function independently. In essence, tags are the building blocks of SpecsIntact documents and remove text marked for deletion by <DEL> tags. Since this action is irreversible, it is recommended to create a Backup of the project beforehand using the File menu's Backup and Restore command. The Execute Revisions command also offers flexibility, allowing you to apply these changes to only one or more selected Sections while keeping other Sections unchanged.

How To Use This Feature

to Execute Revisions on a Job or Master:

In the SpecsIntact Explorer, select a Job or Master, then perform one of the following:
1. Right-click and select Execute Revisions
2. Select the File menu and select Execute Revisions
On the Confirm Selections for Executing Revisions window, perform one of the following:
1. Leave all Sections selected
2. Select to unhighlight Sections to leave the unselected Sections unchanged
Click OK

to Execute Revisions On Sections:

In the SpecsIntact Explorer's Contents panel, perform one of the following:
1. Select a single section
2. Press-and-hold the Shift key to select multiple consecutive Sections, then select the last Section
3. Press-and-hold the Ctrl key to select multiple non-consecutive Sections, then select each Section
Once the Section(s) are selected, right-click and select Execute Revisions
On the Confirm Selections for Executing Revisions window, click OK
On the Revisions Executed window, click OK
