The Green Seal Standard for Paper Products Used in the Preparation of Food, GS-18, establishes environmental requirements for paper products used in the preparation of food such as coffee filters or cupcake liners. The standard includes product environmental requirements for recycled content, reduced bleaching, and reduced packaging. The standard can serve as a tool to help companies begin to take action to improve their products and is available for Green Seal certification.
