Service-Specific Training

  • Sustainability Webinar Series
These webinars provide practical training in the evolving body of sustainability requirements that applies to all military construction. They support National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) and other training requirements for life-cycle sustainability and renewability; use of innovative sustainable materials and construction methods; and designs to improve building resiliency. Trainees will gain understanding of the High Performance and Sustainable Buildings requirements (UFC 1-200-02). Though live presentation was provided for USACE, these webinars also provide valuable information for Navy and Air Force personnel.
  • Engineer Research & Development Center (ERDC)
ERDC is the research and development arm of the Army, but much of their work benefits and is relevant to all of DoD. This site includes not only the ability to search for ERDC offerings, but also includes 18 other databases.
For example, by selecting keyword “title” and adding search term “environmental product declarations”, “search” yields a number of documents, including the recent Technical Note “The Importance of Environmental Product Declarations in the Decarbonization Effort”.
