USACE ECB 2023-10 Clarification of Policies and Guidance Associated with the Welding of Hydraulic Steel Structures

This Engineering and Construction Bulletin (ECB) amends and clarifies the intended use of EM 1110-2-2107, and summarizes key policies, roles, guidance, and procedures with respect to welding quality associated with ER 1110-2-8157, EM 1110-2-2107, and EM 1110-2-6054. The purpose of this ECB is to ensure qualified personnel within Operations and Engineering are properly designing, executing, and inspecting welding fabrication, rehabilitation, and repairs to hydraulic steel structures (HSS) in a coordinated, collaborative, and consistent manner.
