During this training, we will demonstrate the value of performance–focused project development efforts including identifying Agency resources, assets, and gaps; rendering effective performance requirements for UESC task orders; and determining approaches to assuring performance throughout the life of energy projects.

As one of FEMP's UESC SMEs, Deb provides direct technical support and UESC training to Federal agencies and Utilities developing UESC projects; has led the development of the UESC Guide, the Performance Planning for UESC document, the UESC Report Template, and is providing continued support in developing the technical content for the basic, advanced, and comprehensive UESC trainings. Prior to working with NREL, Deb was a mechanical and facilities engineer and Regional Energy Program Manager for the FAA.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this workshop, attendees will be able to:

  • Locate and download the UESC performance-focused resources, UESC performance planning and UESC report template;
  • Understand the intended use of each of the resources to discuss and establish project scope, report expectations, and deliverables;
  • Understand the value of the performance planning document, the report template, and the eProject Builder tool and UESC-specific schedules; and
  • Understand the importance of and resources for receiving performance-focused deliverables with consistent and complete information essential to project development and supporting the decision process.
