This webinar will provide information on advanced interconnection topics for federal agencies developing distributed energy projects. Considerations covered will include common interconnection challenges (including interconnection agreements), potential solutions, and roles and responsibilities to facilitate a smooth interconnection process. This webinar will be the second in a multi-part series on working with electric utilities to develop distributed energy projects on federal sites.

Instructors

Douglas Gagne, MBA, Project Analyst, National Renewable Energy Laboratory  

Doug is a project analyst at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). He performs techno-economic analyses to identify what mix of generation technologies will most cost-effectively meet a site's power needs. He also evaluates early stage project development considerations for renewable energy and resilience projects.

Chandra Shah, B.S. Mechanical Engineering, MBA, CEM, Senior Project Leader, NREL  

Chandra is a senior project leader at NREL. She is the laboratory lead for FEMP's distributed energy procurement program and has been supporting FEMP since 1998. She is a co-author of the ESPC ESA Toolkit and other ESPC ESA templates.
