This presentation first introduces the Utility Monitoring and Control System (UMCS) concept and architecture, as well as UMCS Frond End and its components. Why and how to integrate field control systems (FCS) with an Open UMCS Front End will then be explained, followed by highlights of key requirements in UFC 3-470-01 and UFGS 25-10-10. All integration options are presented, with the Niagara Framework option discussed in more details.Finally, the session covers UMCS design and implementation considerations and control and network hardware requirements.
