Recommendations

Ensure that the A-weighted background noise level (1 hr Leq) in classrooms and office spaces (including conference rooms but excluding corridors) does not exceed 35 dB and that reverberation (500-2,000 Hz) when unoccupied is no more than 0.6 sec. for spaces under 10,000 cu. ft. or 0.7 sec for spaces exceeding 10,000 cu. ft.
