NAVFAC Design-Build Request for Proposal

Welcome to the NAVFAC Design-Build Request for Proposal (RFP) web site. This site is intended to:

1. Familiarize those new to the NAVFAC Design-Build (DB) process with the format, tools, and typical RFP documents.
2. Provide a NAVFAC Standard Template to develop RFP requirements for projects that do not utilize the Model RFPs.
3. Provide NAVFAC Model RFP Templates which include advanced editing for various building types.
4. Allow those preparing DB RFPs the ability to download the most current versions of electronic documents.
5. Provide a working version of Uniformat/ Work Breakdown Structure that is employed in the structure of these RFP documents.
6. Allow those preparing DB projects, access to the most current Unified Facility Criteria (UFC) criteria. Most UFCs are posted on the Whole Building Design Guide (WBDG) UFC Webpage, however some UFCs applicable to DB that have completed NAVFAC development but have not completed DoD Unification are temporarily posted on this website. These UFCs posted under Design Guidance have completed NAVFAC UFC coordination and are applicable as referenced criteria for developing new RFP requirements. Once these UFCs have been unified with other DoD Components, the UFCs on this website will be superseded, removed from this website, and finally posted on the WBDG UFC webpage.
