This Public Works Technical Bulletin (PWTB) presents practical guidelines on how to compile archived historical information needed to evaluate archaeological and historical sites for their eligibility for the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). It is designed for use by cultural resource (CR) and other land managers, archaeologists, and historians who have little or no practical experience in the research of primary documents.
