Comments/Design Considerations -
DDESB letter of 4 May 1999 identifies four ECM (1995, 2059 (Modified NATO-16), 2323, and 2327) as being located at Incirlik AFB, Turkey. These four ECM were evaluated by Dr. Canada of the DDESB and determined to be as follows: 2059 and 2323 are 3-Bar ECM, and 1995 and 2327 are 7-Bar ECM. The blast doors of the 3-Bar ECM were determined to be incapable of providing 7-Bar protection, although the magazine arch and headwall were designed to meet 7-Bar criteria.
